Head of the Charles

On Sun., Oct. 21, rowers Maya Getter, Diana Kenealy, both Class I, Mia Murphy, Monica Ordóñez, both Class II, and coxswain Joelle Sherman, Class III, competed in the Head of the Charles Regatta, the world’s largest two-day rowing event.

More than 9,000 athletes, including 50 Olympians, battled over the three-mile course, and several hundred thousand spectators cheered from the banks of the Charles. The Nobles crew raced in the Women’s Youth Four event. (Photo courtesy of Peter Raymond)
