Earlier this week, the boys cross country team laced up their running shoes and donned bunny ears for one afternoon practice. The team ran through Dedham, stopping at each of the hand-painted bunny sculptures which have decorated the town for months. The 15 sculptures are part of a public art display encouraging appreciation and support for art in the community.
The team stopped at each bunny in order to raise awareness and money for another worthy cause. The proceeds will benefit Louverture Cleary School/The Haitian Project (http://www.haitianproject.org) which has been a longtime service partner of the school. Their mission: “educate and nurture academically talented and motivated students from Haitian families who cannot afford the cost of their children’s education in order to maximize their potential and enable them to work toward building a Haiti where justice and peace thrive.”
